Largest Supermoon on January 2018

Supermoon is a natural event that rarely appears in one year. it is estimated that supermoon only appears 3 to 5 times a year. the supermoon event will occur on January 2.2018 and January 31, 2018Supermoon occurs when the moon is in the position of its closest orbit to the earth. Because of the elliptical lunar orbit, one side (apogee) is about 30,000 miles (50,000 km) farther from Earth than the other side (perigee). Thus, the moon will look 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter.

"Supermoon is a great opportunity for people to see the Moon, not just for a while but all night!" Said Noah Petro, a research scientist from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center on NASA's official website.

Supermoon January 31, 2018, will feature a total lunar eclipse, which can be seen from western North America across the Pacific to East Asia. The moon's orbit around the earth is tilted so it usually falls over or under the shadow of the earth. The moon will lose its light, dimmer than the normal sunlight that slightly penetrates the Earth's atmosphere. In the condition of the reddish moon is often called 'Bloodmoon'.

Supermoon on January 31, 2018 will also be the second in a month. Some people refer to this phenomenon as a blue moon, which occurs on average two and a half years. With the occurrence of an eclipse, then one can watch the super blue blood moon at the end of January.
